A warm welcome to Kotkan Vapaaseurakunta (Mariankatu 18). The church is over 100 years old and part of the Evangelical Free Church of Finland.

Our main services are on Sundays at 11am. Simultaneous translation from Finnish to English and Russian over wireless headphones is possible. During the service there is a Sunday school for children aged 3-12. After the service, coffee and snacks are served in the side hall of the church. This is a great opportunity to get to know new people or to share with those you may already know.

Cooking classes (women). Learn how to make delicious dishes from different countries on Mondays, 17.00-19-00 (approx. once a month). In the side hall of the church.
Finnish language cafe (women) on Tuesdays, 10.30-12.00. In Katutaso, beside the church.
English language learning groups on Tuesdays (beginners) 16.30-17.30, and Thursdays (Intermediate) 16.30-17.30. In Katutaso, beside the church.
Knitting/sewing cafe (women) on Wednesdays, 16.00-18.00. In the side hall of the church.
English Bible study on Thursdays at 6pm (fortnightly). In Katutaso, beside the church. Autumn 2025 dates: 4.9., 18.9., 2.10., 16.10., 30.10., 13.11., 27.11. & 11.12.
Art and craft workshop on Saturdays, 10.30-12.30 (approx. once a month). In the side hall of the church.
Gospel Cafe. A relaxed evening for young adults on Saturdays, 18.00-21.00 (approx. once a month). In the side hall of the church.
